The months of August and September witnessed the efforts of Northstowe Muslims to celebrate its annual foundation day on 15^th September 2024. We invite the whole of Northstowe, to come and celebrate this day with us.

Northstowe Muslims will celebrate its Foundation Day to commemorate its establishment and reflect on its journey, achievements, and growth over the years. This day serves several important purposes:

1. Historical Significance: 15th September, which is the Foundation Day will mark the celebration of the beginning of Northstowe Muslims Charity’s existence, acknowledging its history and the visionaries who played a crucial role in its inception. Only a few years ago, there was no community or faith group for Muslims in Northstowe or any of the adjoining villages, such as Willingham, Longstanton, Over, etc. It was then decided by a few Muslims in Northstowe, and the adjoining villages to come together and make their own faith group, which led to the creation of Northstowe Muslims (NM).
2. Cultural Identity: Celebrating the Foundation Day will help reinforce the charity’s culture, values, and mission, fostering a sense of identity and continuity among its members. This is achieved by giving a platform to the Muslims in Northstowe & the adjoining villages, to come together and celebrate, as one united ummah.
3. Members Morale: The foundation day will provide an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the contributions of all members of Northstowe Muslims, boosting morale and fostering a sense of belonging, and togetherness, as one strong and united community.
4. Public Relations: Foundation Day will be a platform for enhancing the charity’s public image, showcasing its achievements, milestones, and future goals to the broader community. This day is not just for Muslims, but for all the residents of Northstowe and the adjoining villages whether they are of faith or no faith, to come together, and celebrate this day. We are all different but we respect our differences.
5. Strategic Reflection: The foundation day will offer a moment for the charity to reflect on its past, assess its current position, and strategize for the future. This is necessary to ensure that we can fulfil all the social and the spiritual needs of our members.
6. Networking and Collaboration: The events organised on Foundation Day will bring the entire Northstowe and the adjoining villages together, fostering networking and collaboration opportunities, between the residents.

In essence, The Northstowe Muslims’ Foundation Day or NM Day is a symbolic occasion that celebrates the organisation's past, strengthens its present, and inspire its future.
